Quantum-Systems GmbH in Munich, Germany seeks an NPI Engineer to drive new product introductions for EV powertrains, ensure digital thread integrity, and coordinate hardware/software handoffs across teams. The role emphasizes PCBA development, test planning, and field-ready production readiness.

You will work closely with engineering, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to industrialize developments and optimize traces for scalable production while maintaining data traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• At least three years of experience in the field.
• Experience in PCB design and hands-on electronic lab work.
• Knowledge of power electronics and embedded firmware.
• Familiarity with EMC/compliance testing and project management.

Responsibilities

• Electrical system architecture, design, and validation of electric powertrains.
• Define system and component requirements with the project management team.
• Lead full PCBA development cycle: design, manufacturing coordination, bring-up, verification, and validation.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers across processes.
• Schematic design for BMS and charger updates, including bug fixes.
• Design testing platforms for charger-battery integration.
• Create battery simulation testbenches and finalize PCB implementation with BMS/charger supervision.
• Define and execute subsystem-level test plans and ensure adherence.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to play a pivotal role in bringing our groundbreaking EV products to market. As an NPI Engineer, you will be the central figure industrializing our developments together with our engineering team, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

Beyond traditional hardware ramp-up, this role is critical in building the digital thread of our serial production. You will be responsible for ensuring that as we scale quantities, our data remains structured, traceable, and ready for deep analytical insight.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Electrical System Architecture, Design, and Validation of Electric Powertrains

• Define systems and component requirements in collaboration with the project management team

• Conducting full PCBA development cycle: Design, Coordinating Manufacturing Process, Bring up, Verification, and Validation of PCBs

• Collaboration with our firmware engineering team across all processes

• Schematic design for BMS and charger updates, including bug fixes

• Schematic design for a combined testing platform charger-battery

• Design of battery simulation testbench

• Final PCB implementation with supervision of BMS and charger

• Defining subsystem-level test plans

• Following test plans

What you bring to the team:

• Ability to work from our offices in Munich, Germany

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields

• At least three years of experience in the field

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience in PCB design is a must

• Hands-on experience in an electronic lab environment is a must

• Understanding of power electronics systems

• Understanding of embedded firmware infrastructure

• Experience with compliance testing and EMC

• A structured approach to work and project management experience

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• German language skills are welcome
