Rocket Factory Augsburg is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Launch to lead electrical power distribution design, installation, and testing for launch and test sites. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with standards and on-time delivery.

Based in Augsburg, you will work on critical infrastructure projects in a dynamic New Space startup environment with flexible hours and hands-on hardware engagement.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in designing, building, commissioning, or operating electrical power distribution systems.
• Strong experience with industrial AC power distribution, including LV/MV switchgear, distribution boards, transformers, protection and grounding systems.
• Familiarity with IEC/BS standards is highly desirable.

Your Tasks

• Design, supervise the construction of, and commission launch and test site infrastructure

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, commissioning, or operating electrical power distribution systems
• Strong experience with industrial AC power distribution, including LV/MV switchgear, distribution boards, transformers, protection and grounding systems
• Solid knowledge of power system design and analysis, including load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop, protection coordination.
• Proven ability to develop and review single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and electrical system documentation
• Experience taking electrical systems from concept and detailed design through installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with IEC/BS standards is highly desirable
• Hands-on mentality with the ability and willingness to work directly on hardware, installations, testing, and troubleshooting
• Comfortable taking ownership of complex projects and working independently with limited supervision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
• Fluent in written and spoken English
