As we expand our operations in Germany, we are excited to grow our Seat Integration Teams, focusing on unique seat certification and integration for all Boeing aircraft models as line fit or retrofit.

We are looking for you in Hamburg, Germany as an Senior Electrical Engineer for Seat Integration (M/F/D).

In this role you will:
  • Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for passenger seats.
  • Review data from our suppliers for integration approval of seats into the airframe from an electrical point of view, including the review of seat envelope drawings and equipment qualification data.
  • Analyze, define, and generate documentation for the design and certification of aircraft seating products—e.g., wiring diagrams, routing installation and harness fabrication drawings, test plans and reports, System Safety, Equipment Qualification, and EWIS documents.
  • Collaborate closely with the Office of Airworthiness and regulatory authorities to ensure the aircraft cabin is delivered in the correct condition and quality.
  • Supervise supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

What you bring to the table:

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Avionics, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Manufacturing Engineering) or a higher degree in engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry, including design, integration, and/or certification or an equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience.

Additionally preferred skills:

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) in an EASA Design Organization or as an engineering Unit Member (e‑UM) in an FAA Design Organization with terms of approval relevant to electrical discipline.
  • Knowledge: experience with aircraft interior modification programs, especially the electrical part of seat integration, and knowledge of Fundamental Avionics, RTCA DO‑160, DO‑178C, DO‑254, and System Safety Assessment.
  • Collaboration: 5+ years leading complex projects, influencing team members and stakeholders, and a willingness to mentor and coach less experienced staff.
  • Tools: expertise with OEM data systems, Catia V5/V6, ENOVIA, IVT, and AutoCAD.
  • Personality: principled, reliable, values integrity, safety, and accountability; inclusive and collaborative, communicates transparently, and respects diverse perspectives.
  • Flexibility: comfortable with a variable work statement and flexible to support meetings across different time zones.
