Zusammenfassung

shipzero in Hamburg seeks an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to own cloud resource strategy, automate delivery pipelines and strengthen security. You will drive AI-powered workflows, oversee observability with Datadog, and mentor teams on DevOps best practices.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, IaC experience, and a strong security mindset; German is a plus. Hybrid work and a modern Hamburg workplace support collaboration and growth.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience deploying infrastructure via IaC.
• Experience with ISMS, security controls, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling and building AI-assisted workflows.
• German language skills are a nice-to-have, not required.
• Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, data warehouses, and reliable data processing workflows is a nice-to-have.

Your mission

• Conceptualize, manage and monitor cloud resources to improve overall performance and maintain efficiency
• Build, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, efficient, and automated software delivery.
• Drive our information security practices within engineering to help keep our architecture scalable, safe and compliant
• Explore and champion AI-assisted and agentic workflows across Product, Engineering, and other business functions, identifying opportunities for automation and implementing practical AI-powered workflows.
• Build and maintain observability via Datadog to support other teams
• Mentor other teams on DevOps best practices

Your skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional engineering experience, including substantial hands-on experience with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience deploying infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with information security topics and practices, including working with an Information Security Management System (ISMS), security controls, risk management, and compliance requirements.

• Hands-on experience with modern AI tooling and building AI-assisted, agentic and automated workflows across Product and Engineering.
• German language skills are a nice-to-have, not required
• Experience working with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tooling, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and reliable data processing workflows, is a nice-to-have.
