Zusammenfassung

Integral in Berlin is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and maintain our cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security and scalable deployments for our payroll, tax and accounting platform used by SMEs across Europe.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Pulumi, work with Kubernetes on AWS or GCP, and collaborate with product and AI teams to enable safe, fast releases.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Proven track record of owning infrastructure end-to-end and driving measurable impact.
• Comfortable with ambiguity: take initiative and improve systems and teams.
• Able to audit and validate AI-generated code; familiar with AI coding tools.
• German language skills are a strong plus.

As Senior DevOps Engineer, you will help us build trustworthy product experiences that solve real customer problems on payroll, tax and accounting. Own outcomes, not just output, balancing speed and craftsmanship to deliver value that compounds using state‑of‑the‑art tools and methodologies.

Core Responsibilities

Experience & Mindset

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Infrastructure roles, ideally at a startup or high‑growth company
• Proven track record of owning infrastructure end‑to‑end and driving measurable impact
• Comfortable with ambiguity: you take initiative, manage your own time, and leave systems and teams better than you found them
• You turn complexity into simplicity, make good decisions reversible, and build plans others can follow
• Comfortable leveraging AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude — and able to audit and validate AI‑generated code
• Experience in fast‑scaling environments is a strong plus
• German language skills are a strong plus

Technical Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred)
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD or similar
• Infrastructure‑as‑code: Terraform, Pulumi or equivalent
• Observability: logs, metrics, traces; familiarity with SLOs and incident response
• Security basics: authN/authZ, secrets management, threat modelling, secure coding practices
• Familiarity with Python is a strong plus, our engineers work heavily with Python and Claude
