European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading robotics company, based in the Munich area, who are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust middleware solutions for robot-cloud communications, data streaming, and distributed computing.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for robotics software, ensuring reliable deployment across diverse robotic platforms.
• Architect containerization strategies optimized for resource-constrained robotic systems.
• Build robust monitoring, logging, and diagnostics systems for robot fleets operating in production environments.
• Design and implement fault-tolerant systems for managing robot software updates, configuration, and deployment.
• Optimize data flow between robot sensors, onboard computing, edge devices, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop solutions for secure remote access, debugging, and maintenance of robotic systems
• Lead the adoption of infrastructure-as-code practices for robotics deployments.
• Collaborate with robotics software engineers to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Mentor junior engineers on middleware and DevOps best practices in robotics contexts.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or related field (Master\'s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or middleware development.
• Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in robotics (C++, Python) and infrastructure (Go, Rust).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their adaptation for edge computing.
• Proven track record building distributed systems that operate in bandwidth-constrained environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Understanding of networking protocols relevant to robotics (MQTT, DDS, etc.).
• Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics middleware.
• Strong background in Linux systems administration and performance optimization.
