EFT Mobility is seeking a Senior Development Engineer Production to bridge design and long-term product success for high-reliability battery systems. You will lead technical efforts for battery sets on outsourced production and in the field, solving failures and coordinating reworks with manufacturing partners.

Your role spans failure analysis, fleet lifecycle management, and Engineering Change Management to ensure zero quality loss and robust field performance.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in battery systems, power electronics, or hardware product engineering.
• Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and failure analysis.
• Ability to coordinate complex tasks between internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Strong communication of failure data into actionable engineering changes.

Aufgaben

• Define begin of line, in-line and end of line criteria with contract manufacturer and internal design team.
• Design & test production fixtures for early internal prototype builds.
• Perform deep-dive teardowns and data analysis to identify root causes of battery and charger failures.
• Coordinate with the design team to implement permanent fixes and ensure improvements are integrated back into production.
• Supervise and document rework of internal battery packs and manage the health and inventory of the battery fleet.
• Collaborate on Engineering Change Management with CM and internal teams; monitor implementations on the production line.
• Organize and lead large-scale field remanufacturing or retrofit programs; develop tooling for field technicians.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Development Engineer Production to bridge the gap between initial design and long-term product success. You will be the technical lead for our battery products once they hit the (outsourced) production line and the field. This role requires a detective mindset to solve field failures, a builder mindset to coordinate reworks, and a leader mindset to manage our battery fleet and manufacturing partnerships.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

Production Engineering

• Define Begin of line, In-Line and End of line criteria and implement together with Contract Manufacturer and internal design team
• Design & test production fixtures for early internal prototype builds

Failure Analysis & Root Cause Determination

• Perform deep-dive teardowns and data analysis to identify root causes of battery and charger failures.
• Coordinate with the design team to implement permanent fixes and ensure these improvements are integrated back into the active production line.

Fleet & Lifecycle Management

• Supervise and document the rework of internal battery packs to maintain peak testing capacity.
• Manage the health and inventory of the internal battery fleet used for R&D, testing, and production support

Engineering Change Management (ECM)

• Collaborate with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to analyze and validate hardware or process changes.
• Provide on-site or remote monitoring of change implementations on the production line to ensure zero loss in quality.
• Validation: Design and execute rigorous test plans to verify that changes meet safety and performance standards before customer shipment.

Field Campaign Coordination

• Organize and lead large-scale rework or retrofit programs for battery sets already deployed in the field.
• Develop specialized tooling or instructions for field technicians to ensure reworks are performed safely and consistently.

What you bring to the team:

• Experience: 5+ years in battery systems, power electronics, or hardware product engineering.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS), failure analysis and hardware testing protocols.
• Project Management: Ability to coordinate complex tasks between internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners.
• Communication: Strong ability to translate technical failure data into actionable engineering changes
