Zusammenfassung

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology seeks an engineer to design and optimize the gas flow and pressure architecture of advanced optical metrology systems.

You will translate requirements into technical specifications and apply CFD, DSMC, and 1D simulations to improve measurement accuracy and system lifetime.

Excellent German and English communication is valued to coordinate interfaces across departments.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent university degree in aerospace, process, mechanical engineering, physics, or comparable field.
• Strong background in fluid mechanics, vacuum technology, gas transport, or contamination control.
• Experience modeling complex flow and pressure systems, especially CFD; DSMC or 1D simulations are a plus.
• Experience deriving technical requirements, developing budgets, and performing model‑based design verification.
• Knowledge in outgassing, leakage, cleanliness, partial pressure analysis, or residual gas analysis.
• Ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders; German and English skills are required.

• You will support the verification of requirements and assess technical deviations and optimization opportunities.
• You will work closely with interdisciplinary development teams and relevant interfaces and represent your topics within projects and stakeholder groups.

Your Role

To manufacture defect-free photomasks for the latest-generation semiconductor lithography, we develop optical metrology solutions.

The architecture of gas flows within these systems plays a key role in achieving the highest levels of measurement accuracy and system lifetime.

Your Profile

• - You have an excellent university degree in aerospace engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a comparable field.
• - You have a strong background in fluid mechanics, vacuum technology, gas transport, or contamination control.
• - You have experience modeling complex flow and pressure systems, particularly using CFD; knowledge of DSMC or 1D system simulations is an advantage.
• - You are experienced in deriving technical requirements, developing budgets, and performing model-based design verification.
• - Ideally, you have knowledge in areas such as outgassing, leakage, cleanliness, partial pressure analysis, or residual gas analysis.
• - You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and are confident in coordinating with a wide range of interfaces and stakeholders.
• - Very good written and spoken German and English skills
