Job summary

WhyBrilliant in Berlin is seeking aSenior Data Engineer to own analytics engineering across client engagements. You will bridge cloud data infrastructure with production pipelines, delivering scalable data warehouses and robust data workflows.

You will design, implement, and optimize data architectures, AI/ML workflows, and cross-system integrations while collaborating closely with client stakeholders and our data function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and maintaining production data warehouses.
• Strong SQL, Python and dbt proficiency.
• Experience communicating with client stakeholders.
• German (C1+) and English proficiency.

What You'll Do

Full technical ownership of modern analytics engineering, cloud architecture, and data pipelines across client engagements.

• Architect and deploy scalable production data warehouse and cloud infrastructure
• Build robust data transformation workflows and pipelines using Python, SQL, and dbt
• Implement and optimize AI/ML workflows and cross-system data integrations
• Establish modern analytics engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control standards
• Interface directly with client stakeholders to explain technical trade-offs and turn business needs into production systems

Who this is a fit for

• 5+ years building and maintaining production data warehouses and cloud infrastructure
• Advanced practitioner in SQL, Python, and dbt transformation workflows
• Proven track record in client-facing roles explaining complex technical trade-offs
