Aconium in Berlin seeks a Data Engineer for Business Intelligence to join our data-driven team. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, while collaborating across departments to deliver reliable BI solutions.

You will work with Python, SQL, Airflow, and dbt, and contribute to data modeling, quality, and performance improvements in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience in ETL development and scalable data pipelines.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
• Knowledge of Talend Data Integration and Tableau is a plus.
• Experience with desktop GIS applications and geodata is preferred.
• Excellent German and English language skills.

Data Engineer, Business Intelligence (m/f/d)

We are currently seeking a Data Engineer - Business Intelligence (m/f/d) for our Berlin office, to start immediately. This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week.

Your responsibilities:

• Data Pipelines and ETL Processes: You design, develop, and operate robust and scalable data pipelines and automated ETL processes using Python, Apache Airflow, and dbt.
• Process Automation: You orchestrate, automate, and monitor data processing workflows and ensure their reliable operation.
• Data Integration: You integrate and transform data from various internal and external sources.
• Data Modeling: You will develop appropriate data models for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence applications and continuously expand them.
• Data Quality and Performance: They ensure the quality, consistency, and traceability of data and optimize the performance of database queries and data processing workflows.
• Data Architecture and Documentation: You will continuously refine our data architecture and data processes and ensure that documentation is structured and traceable.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working together with the various departments, you will analyze data-related requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions.

Your requirements:

• You have very strong knowledge of Python and SQL, as well as hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.
• You have extensive experience working with relational database systems, particularly PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• You have experience in developing and automating ETL processes and scalable data pipelines.
• You have a solid understanding of data modeling, relational data warehouse design, data quality, and high-performance data processing.
• You are familiar with modern data engineering practices and technologies such as Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
• Knowledge of Talend Data Integration and Tableau is a plus.
• Experience working with desktop GIS applications and geodata is preferred.
