Entyre GmbH in Berlin seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own and scale a modern data platform. You will design, build, and operate robust data pipelines, supporting analytics and data-driven decisions across product and operations teams.

You will work closely with engineering to implement scalable architectures on AWS/GCP/Azure and data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, while ensuring data quality and reliability. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Senior data engineer capable of owning data initiatives from design to production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.

For our Berlin tech hub, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) who wants to take real ownership in building and scaling a modern data platform. This role is focused on designing, building, and operating the company’s data platform, data infrastructure, and data reliability systems.

You will join a focused engineering team in Berlin and take responsibility for our core data infrastructure, supporting operations, and product teams with trusted, well-structured data.

What you will work on

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines across multiple sources and systems
• Develop and evolve our data warehouse/lakehouse architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability

Data Quality & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, validation, and observability solutions to ensure trustworthy data across the organization
• Work closely with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to design and maintain scalable data infrastructure that enables self-service reporting.

Ownership

• Take end-to-end responsibility for data initiatives, from design and implementation to production rollout and ongoing optimization

Performance Optimization

• Improve data processing efficiency, query performance, and cost-effectiveness across the platform

About you

• You are passionate about data engineering and solving complex technical data problems
• You have solid experience as a Data Engineer in fast-paced, data-driven environments
• You have strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• You have experience with tools such as Fivetran, BigQuery, Dataform, Sigma, GA4
• You have worked with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• You understand data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and building scalable data systems
• Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is a plus
• Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
