Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data management, ideally in finance or a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes (accounting, controlling, internal controls) and how data underpins them.
• Deep technical expertise in SQL, data modelling, data pipelines and monitoring, ETL / ELT, APIs, and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with data governance frameworks and metadata management.
• Ability to influence other stakeholders on technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the application-agnostic data model in Finance, aligned with the needs of our Finance Functions, as well as group-wide standards, IT Architecture, and our Uniper Business.
• Lead the assessment of the finance data landscape, identifying gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization and harmonization.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformation processes for finance data.
• Partner with our Data Scientists and Finance colleagues to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Establish and oversee data quality and governance frameworks across finance platforms and processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Data Engineer(s) within the Data Foundation and Enablement pillar.
• Collaborate with IT, platform owners, and data governance bodies to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Deliver recommendations on data platform improvements, solutions, integration, and tooling.
