Senior Copywriter (Creative)

As a Senior Copywriter, you will be a critical voice in crafting high-impact creative content across multiple channels (digital, print, omnichannel) for clients in the life sciences / healthcare space. You will partner with internal medical, regulatory, strategy, and creative teams to conceptualize, write, and refine content that is medically accurate, brand-aligned, and engaging for varied audiences (HCPs, patients, payers, internal). You’ll also mentor junior writers and enforce quality, consistency, and compliance across deliverables.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead creative concepting and ideation : generate fresh, strategic content ideas aligned with campaign or client objectives

  • Write, edit, and polish copy across formats : websites, email campaigns, landing pages, social media, eDetailers, videos, promotional materials, patient education, speaker decks, etc.

  • Translate scientific, clinical, and therapeutic concepts into accessible, compelling narratives without losing accuracy

  • Ensure all content adheres to relevant regulatory, medical, and industry standards (local / EU)

  • Collaborate closely with medical reviewers, regulatory / legal / compliance teams to integrate feedback, revisions, and ensure final deliverables are sound

  • Maintain tone of voice and brand consistency across projects

  • Mentor and review work from junior writers or copywriters

  • Stay current on life sciences / pharma / biotech trends — new therapies, regulatory environment, industry best practices

  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities; elevate potential risks or bottlenecks

  • Contribute to pitches, proposals, and RFP responses with sample writing and creative input


Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Required


  • Minimum 5–7 years copywriting experience, ideally with a focus on healthcare, life sciences, pharma, medical communications, or scientific content

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in German and English , with the ability to switch tone and style as needed

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex scientific / clinical / therapeutic content to diverse audiences

  • Strong storytelling skills and conceptual thinking

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (medical, regulatory, marketing, creative)

  • Comfort in receiving detailed feedback and iterating quickly

  • Meticulous about detail, grammar, consistency, style guides

  • Ability to work on multiple briefs / projects concurrently and manage changing priorities

  • Based in Germany (or willing to relocate) or with the ability to travel to Germany / European offices


Preferred / Nice-to-Have


  • Experience writing for regulatory / promotional / educational materials in pharma / biotech

  • Familiarity with local German / EU regulatory constraints for healthcare communication

  • Experience in omnichannel or digital marketing in healthcare

  • Experience in agency or service provider environments

  • Portfolio with strong creative and medically informed writing samples
