Döhler in Darmstadt is seeking a Senior Controller Commercial & Sales to act as a strategic sparring partner for Sales & Marketing, steering performance, pipelines, and profitability with transparent data for well-founded decisions.

The role requires a university degree and several years as a business partner in controlling or strategic development, with strong German and English skills. You will shape reporting processes and support digitalization in finance.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience as a business partner in controlling, product costing, or strategic business development.
• Solid knowledge of B2B food industry is preferred.

As Senior Controller Commercial & Sales (m/f/d) in Darmstadt, you support Sales & Marketing as a strategic sparring partner. Together with management, you steer performance, pipelines, and profitability while creating transparency for well-founded decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Acting as a business partner and strategic advisor for the commercial functions of Sales & Marketing, driving their further development
• Providing fresh impulses, constructively challenging existing processes, and actively shaping operational performance and strategic direction
• Independently developing and implementing innovative concepts to support data-driven sales management
• Designing and implementing modern KPI frameworks to continuously enhance the integrated performance management approach
• Analyzing strategic and operational objectives of the respective functions and deriving sound recommendations for action
• Preparing reports and management presentations for different target groups and translating figures into relevant business insights
• Supporting the optimization, digitalization, and integration of reporting and business processes
• Actively contributing to commercial steering and supporting the further development and execution of the business strategy
• Preparing ad hoc analyses for business partners and top management independently

Your Profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on Controlling
• Several years of professional experience as a business partner in controlling, product costing, or strategic business development
• Ideally, solid knowledge of and experience in the B2B food industry
• High resilience and the ability to handle complex topics in a structured, precise, and solution-oriented manner, even under time pressure, and translate them into actionable decision-making support
• Strong communication and presentation skills combined with excellent analytical capabilities
• Team player with a strong motivation to take ownership and drive topics forward independently
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as SAP BW, SAP SAC, and S/4HANA
• Strong interest in working with new technologies, challenging existing processes, and actively driving digitalization in finance and reporting
• Very good command of German and English
