Job summary

Willcox Matthews Ltd is seeking a Senior Controller to lead manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, and inventory valuation in our Riedlingen plant. You will partner with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain to enhance profitability and drive efficiency.

The role involves owning cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting, plus expanding ERP and BI capabilities in a global manufacturing environment. Fluency in German and English is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in manufacturing finance or controlling.
• Strong product costing and inventory valuation experience.
• Good knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Hands-on ERP experience.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Power BI reporting and dashboards.
• Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement.
• Experience within an international manufacturing group.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting and product costing.
• Oversee inventory valuations and stock control processes.
• Analyse production variances, including PPV, material usage and scrap.
• Maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly financial reports.
• Analyse manufacturing KPIs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support CapEx evaluations and ROI analysis.
• Improve ERP reporting and financial data accuracy.
• Work closely with operational teams to drive continuous improvement.

The Company

Willcox Matthews is working with a leading international manufacturing organisation specialising in precision manufacturing.

The business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Controller to strengthen its manufacturing finance function in Riedlingen.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Plant Controlling, you will take ownership of manufacturing cost accounting, product costing, inventory valuation and financial performance analysis.

You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing cost accounting and product costing.


• Oversee inventory valuations and stock control processes.
