📌 Position: Contract Manager

📍 Location: Mannheim, Germany – Hybrid (2 days onsite: Monday & Thursday)

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support large-scale EPC and grid automation projects. This role acts as a key partner to project management, driving commercial excellence, risk mitigation, and successful contract execution across major infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop contract strategies and project proposals aligned with guidelines, budgets, timelines, and technical standards.
• Lead the negotiation, review, and administration of contract terms, conditions, amendments, claims, and formal correspondence.
• Ensure compliance and strong commercial management across payments, claims, variation orders, and risk reduction activities.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and databases, tracking deviations and required changes.
• Collaborate closely with legal, insurance, tax, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support negotiation strategy, prepare for commercial discussions, and facilitate contract workshops.
• Participate in close-out processes and ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Required Background

• Degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, or (commercial) law.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in German contract law.
• 5–10 years' experience in contract management in EPC project environments, ideally with complex project contracts.
• Confident negotiator in German and English (written and oral).
• Skilled in claims management, change orders, and contractual risk assessment.
• Willingness to travel (10–20%), mainly within Germany and Sweden.
