Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.
Your tasks
- As both a (Senior) Consultant and a Developer, you will work independently on a variety of data science projects for our major customers
- You will lead and execute data science projects with a focus on time‑series data, such as forecasting, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection
- You will design and implement advanced time‑series models by applying a variety of machine learning techniques, from traditional statistical approaches like ARIMA to cutting‑edge deep learning architectures such as LSTM and transformers, along with other state‑of‑the‑art methodologies
- Consequently, you will have close contact with various stakeholders and representatives of our customers on a regular basis
- You will act as a project developer, subject matter expert, or technical lead and deal with various use cases, e.g., demand forecasting for supply chain optimization, predictive maintenance using time‑series sensor data, or fine‑tuning multi‑horizon forecasting models to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- As part of your work, you will implement robust, extensible, and performant ML pipelines according to current ML Ops best practices
- Furthermore, you will support the development of our offering portfolio and participate in the acquisition of projects alongside our sales team
Your profile
- You have a degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- You bring over 3 years of professional experience in data science, with a strong focus on time‑series analysis and forecasting
- You have solid expertise in Python for data analysis and model development
- You bring knowledge of, and ideally hands‑on experience with, state‑of‑the‑art models such as Transformer‑based models, Recurrent Neural Networks (including LSTM variants), foundation models for time series
- You have experience with advanced techniques like hierarchical reconciliation, addressing cold‑start problems, advanced normalization strategies, and attention mechanisms
- You have experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and preferably have experience in deploying models successfully into production environments
- You are a strong communicator and possess very good German and English skills (at least C1 level), as you will be advising both English‑speaking clients and clients who only speak German
- You have experience presenting insights and solutions to business users and a keen interest in understanding business processes to align technical outcomes with organizational needs
- Additionally, you are open to occasional business trips to visit our clients on‑site in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
