Senior Commissioning Engineer

Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor seeks a senior commissioning engineer to lead across design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction stages for complex facility projects. You will develop plans and specs, run QA/QC programs for electrical and EPMS, and conduct startup testing and integrated systems validation.

You will prepare and review commissioning deliverables, collaborate with GC, MEP trades, and inspectors, and manage project documentation and training programs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP engineering and/or field-testing experience.
• Minimum 5 years providing building commissioning and/or construction QA/QC field services.
• Expert knowledge of commissioning processes per ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED standards.
• Working knowledge of MEP equipment and systems installation, startup, pre-functional testing, inspections, and acceptance testing.
• Proficiency using electrical testing meters and equipment, including Power Quality Meters, thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, and megger.
• Knowledge and experience testing utility transformers, UPS systems, generators, automated paralleling switchgear, ATSs, STSs, fuel oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, and electrical power generation/distribution systems.
• Proficiency with calibrated testing equipment including flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, and various meters.
• Proficiency in BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, MS Project, Word, and Excel.
• Strong data management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple project schedules and deliver status reports.
• Ability to analyze and report on contractor and third-party schedule updates.
• Strong fee, time, productivity, conflict, and quality management capabilities.
• Preferred certifications/designations include CEM, CBCP, CPMP, and/or LEED.
• Preferred PE or PMP certification.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally when needed.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Develop inspection checklists, procedures, SOPs, and MOPs.
• Compile site-specific Systems Manuals and maintain Issues Logs.
• Collaborate with General Contractors, MEP trades, inspectors, AHJs, consultants, and contractors.
• Chair commissioning meetings and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
• Schedule JLL and project team members while ensuring contractor compliance.
• Protect JLL's contractual position and ensure work meets contracted requirements.
• Review commissioning design drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Manage fee allocation, time, productivity, conflicts, and quality standards.
• Deliver project status reports and analyze contractor schedule updates.
• Develop, review, and evaluate training programs for installed equipment and systems.
