Job summary

RWE Supply & Trading GmbH is seeking a Senior Business Excellence Expert to shape how RWEST operates. You will lead cross-functional improvements across end-to-end processes and organisational structures, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to achieve measurable results.

You will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, align governance, and drive digital transformation using Lean, Six Sigma, and AI-enabled automation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in end-to-end process management or organisational design.
• Proven track record delivering digital transformation with process/operating-model redesign.
• Practical expertise in Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills including KPI management and root-cause analysis.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve recurring processes within governance.

As Senior Business Excellence Expert, you will shape how RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST)operates. You will lead cross-functional improvements across end-to-end processes and organisational structures, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery to achieve measurable and sustainable results.

About the role

• Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve efficiency, performance and cross-functional collaboration.
• Design and optimise end-to-end processes, governance, roles and organisational structures in line with business strategy.
• Establish clear process ownership, standards and KPIs, using data and root‑cause analysis to guide decisions.
• Lead complex transformation initiatives from design through implementation, applying Lean methods and structured project management.
• Build stakeholder alignment, manage resistance constructively and embed improvements sustainably.

Job requirements and experience

• Significant experience in end-to-end process management, process governance or organisational design.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering digital transformation initiatives - from business‑case development through adoption and benefits realisation - with a focus on redesigning processes and operating models around digital tools and new ways of working.
• Practical expertise in Lean, Six Sigma or comparable continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, including KPI management, root‑cause analysis and process mapping.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve recurring processes while maintaining appropriate governance and controls.
• Strong influencing and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Advantageous, but not essential

• Experience working in a complex, international organisation.
• Exposure to operating‑model design or large‑scale organisational transformation.
