Buro Happold in Berlin seeks an experienced bridge engineer and project manager to lead design and delivery of bridge projects. The role involves developing concepts, coordinating with architects and urban planners, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients, and manage performance against budgets and schedules in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experienced bridge engineer
• Extensive knowledge of bridge engineering
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably with a specialization in structural engineering
• Experience in the civil design of bridges

• Ability to assume technical responsibility for bridge design packages
• Ability to deliver work in accordance with agreed standards, budgets, and schedules
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interact confidently and directly with clients, architects, and other consultants
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and detailers and support their professional development
• Experience in the design of architectural bridges and international projects is advantageous but not essential
• Commercial and contractual understanding, including experience in bid preparation and fee management, is advantageous but not essential
