Zusammenfassung

SR2 Clean Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Billing Manager in Berlin to own a complex, multi-product billing function for electricity, heating, PV, tenant electricity, PPAs and EV charging infrastructure.

You will lead a team, drive process improvements, automate workflows and ensure compliant, timely invoicing while aligning with finance and operations across the business.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience within billing, revenue operations or finance.
• Leadership or team management experience.
• Experience with recurring and consumption-based billing.
• Strong understanding of billing systems and master data.
• Experience in the German business environment.
• Fluent German and strong professional English.
• German energy sector experience.
• Billing for electricity, heat, PV, tenant electricity or utilities.
• SAP, MD365, Odoo or similar ERP systems; external platforms like QBilling or Solarize.
• Power BI, Power Automate or process automation.

Aufgaben

• Lead the end-to-end billing function across multiple energy products and services.
• Ensure accurate, compliant and timely customer invoicing.
• Manage recurring, contract-based and consumption-based billing activities.
• Oversee billing controls, reconciliations and revenue accuracy.
• Improve billing processes through automation, SOPs and system improvements.
• Lead and develop the Billing team, defining clear responsibilities and performance standards.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Legal, Metering and external partners.
• Monitor billing KPIs, reporting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with German energy regulations, VAT and invoicing requirements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial processes.

SR2 Clean Energy is supporting one of Berlins best C&I specialists to recruit an experienced Senior Billing Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a complex billing function supporting innovative energy solutions including electricity, heating, photovoltaic systems, tenant electricity, PPAs and EV charging infrastructure.

You'll play a key leadership role, driving operational excellence, improving processes and building a scalable billing function that supports continued business growth.
