DokuMe GmbH is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our focused team driving digital transformation in organized sports.

Your role and tasks

You will work closely with the technical lead and take on tasks along the entire development path: from data modeling and API design to the integration of external interfaces and optimization of backend processes.

• Implementation of features in the backend (Node.js, PHP, Python, Go or comparable languages)
• Data processing and interface integration (external APIs, Excel/CSV systems)
• Setup and maintenance of internal tools or small web modules
• Contribution to data structures, logging, scalability, and code quality
• Close coordination with product and technology teams to translate requirements into clear technical steps
• Active participation in the further development of AI‑supported applications and automations

Requirements

• Solid knowledge in a modern backend language (Node.js, PHP, Python, Go or comparable)
• Understanding of data formats (JSON, CSV, Excel) and clean data processing
• Basic understanding of DevOps or Cloud topics (Docker, monitoring, API design)
• Structured, independent working style – you don't like half‑finished solutions
• Willingness to take responsibility and to familiarize yourself with new topics
• Enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and the desire to integrate new technologies into our platform
