Job summary

European Tech Recruit in Frankfurt is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build a high-performance real-time web platform. You will work on a Python-based backend (FastAPI, asyncio) interfacing with a modern React frontend, focusing on reliability, scalability, and secure APIs.

You will drive asynchronous architecture, optimize WebSocket lifecycles, and ensure rigorous testing and CI/CD standards across the stack.

Qualifications

• Deep Python expertise (e.g FastAPI, asyncio) for asynchronous backend development.
• Strong understanding of event loops, WebSocket lifecycle management and real-time streaming systems.
• Rigorous engineering standards across unit/integration testing, static analysis, clean code and CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of SQL and No-SQL databases.

Working across a modern React frontend and an asynchronous Python backend, you'll help shape the architecture behind enterprise-grade AI experiences, ensuring seamless real-time communication, robust type safety and exceptional user performance.
