OKATIM Germany GmbH, a digital consulting and service company, seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design and own electrical and avionics architectures for aircraft applications. You will manage requirements, integrate avionics and bus systems at aircraft level, and support certification in an EASA-regulated environment, collaborating with engineering, production, certification and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace or Electrical/Systems Engineering.
• Several years of avionics/electrical systems experience in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and avionics architectures and aircraft-level integration.
• Experience in requirements engineering and interface requirements management.
• Experience in EASA-regulated aviation environments; Part 21 and/or Part 145 knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with aircraft certification documentation is an advantage.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented with good communication and teamwork; leadership potential.
• Excellent English (C1); German language skills are an advantage.
• EU/NATO citizenship and security clearance may be required.

Responsabilités

• Take technical ownership of avionics, cockpit and electrical aircraft systems throughout the development lifecycle
• Define, manage and coordinate system, interface and electrical requirements
• Integrate and configure avionics, electrical and bus systems at aircraft level
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, interface control documents, wiring diagrams and certification deliverables
• Provide technical support during prototype build, aircraft integration and production
• Prepare, coordinate and support system, integration and test activities
• Support certification and compliance activities within an EASA-regulated development environment
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, production, certification as well as external suppliers and partners

Salary: approx. €85.000 – €120.000 gross per annum

Your tasks:

• Design and develop electrical and avionics system architectures for aircraft applications
• Take technical ownership of avionics, cockpit and electrical aircraft systems throughout the development lifecycle

Your profile:

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in avionics and/or electrical systems engineering within the aerospace industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical and avionics system architectures, cockpit systems, electrical systems, bus systems and aircraft-level system integration
• Experience in requirements engineering as well as the definition and management of system and interface requirements
• Experience within EASA-regulated aviation environments; knowledge of Part 21 and/or Part 145 is an advantage
• Experience in aircraft certification and relevant certification documentation is an advantage
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style combined with strong communication and teamwork skills; potential to take on technical or personnel leadership responsibility
• Excellent English skills (C1); German language skills are an advantage
• Due to project-specific security requirements, citizenship of an EU or NATO member state and willingness to undergo a security clearance, if required, are necessary for this position.
