Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and deploy production AI systems and cloud-native services. You will own the full software lifecycle, ship backend APIs, and optimize AI workloads in AWS/GCP environments.

Collaboration with product and business teams will ensure reliable delivery and cost efficiency. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of production software experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with React/Next.js and vector databases.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional software development experience owning production systems.
• Experience shipping backend services/APIs and production AI/ML, including LLMs, RAG, and serving.
• Strong Python skills plus a second stack: TypeScript/Node, Go, or Java.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent serving.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.
• Proven experience reducing or governing cloud/AI spend.
• Ability to communicate technical and cost tradeoffs clearly and own deployed systems.
• Applicant must be authorized to receive and access commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
• Preferred: full-stack development with React/Next.js, vector databases, inference optimization, FinOps tooling, SOX/SOC 2, and Copilot/Cursor.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and ship production services, APIs, and user-facing interfaces where needed.
• Own the full software lifecycle, including implementation, testing, code review, CI/CD, deployment, and maintenance.
• Build and operate production AI systems covering RAG, evaluation, fine-tuning, serving, and inference optimization.
• Turn prototypes into reusable platform capabilities with CI/CD, evaluation, and governance.
• Architect AWS/GCP environments using Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD for applications and model pipelines.
• Own observability and incident response.
• Partner on SOC 2/SOX and least-privilege IAM.
• Manage cloud and AI spend through visibility, attribution, budgets, and reduction.
• Optimize GPUs, inference routing, model selection, and right-sizing.
• Track cost per request/token and GPU idle capacity.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software and reduce AI value delivery costs.
