Job summary

zeroG is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and operate production-grade GenAI and ML solutions for aviation. You will work closely with clients to translate challenges into scalable AI products, steering technical direction and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Solid Python and software engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience building data-driven software solutions (ML, NN, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents).
• First practical exposure to deploying, operating, and maintaining AI in production: MLOps/LLMOps, evaluation, monitoring, and cost/latency optimization.
• Solid data engineering skills (SQL, Databricks, data pipelines) and experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Awareness of AI security and compliance (GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to technical and business audiences (our working language is English).
• A consulting mindset: Strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and advise clients with confidence.
• A proactive self‑starter attitude with commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business processes, framing the right problems, and translating them into pragmatic and scalable AI solutions.
• Design, build and deploy reliable AI solutions (ML, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and AI agents), taking them from prototypes to scalable cloud-based production (e.g. Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Turn complex aviation data into innovative data‑driven products.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end solutions and engage directly with customers.
• Help grow our technical expertise and company culture.

• First practical exposure to deploying, operating, and maintaining AI in production: MLOps/LLMOps, evaluation, monitoring, and cost/latency optimization.
• Solid data engineering skills (SQL, Databricks, data pipelines) and experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Awareness of AI security and compliance (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to technical and business audiences (our working language is English).
• A consulting mindset: Strong stakeholder management and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and advise clients with confidence.
• A proactive self‑starter attitude with commitment to continuous learning.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with advanced agent architectures, including multi‑agent systems, MCP, tool orchestration, and memory management.
• GenAI security testing: Local testing, red teaming, and penetration testing.
• Background in the aviation industry.

A few notes

The salary range for this role is €68,000 -- €89,000 per year, made up of base salary plus bonus.
