Yepoda in Berlin is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee daily financial operations, ensure compliance with German GAAP, and support scaling as the company grows.

You will manage bookkeeping, invoicing, statements, cash flow, audits, and cross‑functional financial insights while helping implement ERP systems and new projects.

Fluent English is required, German knowledge and other languages are a plus; 3 days in the office with a hybrid work model in Prenzlauer Berg.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at Yepoda. This role will involve overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with German accounting standards, and supporting the team as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payment processing

• Assist and take ownership with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation

• Support during the statutory audits and ensure compliance with tax and legal regulations

• Support on implementing ERP system and setting up new projects and flows from scratch on

• Prepare cash flow statements and monitor cash on hand

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support other departments with financial insights

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting

• Fluent in English, German/Italian/French/Spanish are a plus

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on mentality

• Process driven and excited about setting up new projects and flows from scratch on

• Experience in e-commerce and cross-border VAT is a plus

• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and experience with Oracle Netsuite are a plus
