Zusammenfassung

Valeo is seeking a Semiconductor Test Strategy Expert (m/f/d) to influence validation strategies for automotive semiconductor technology at Wemding and other locations. You will define global test standards, lead supplier governance, and push for zero-defect quality across next-generation vehicle architectures.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor quality or product/test engineering in automotive environments, with deep DFT and failure-mode knowledge.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in the semiconductor industry (Product/Test Engineering or Quality) within an automotive Tier-1 or major IDM/Foundry environment.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, DFT, and failure mechanisms.
• Proficiency in automotive quality standards (AEC-Q100/101/200, ISO 26262, IATF 16949) and statistical data analysis.
• An assertive negotiator capable of challenging supplier assertions and translating deep technical issues into business risks for executive leadership.
• Change agent mindset with the ability to drive transformation within a global organization.

• Define global standards for semiconductor test coverage and quality.
• Act as the technical support in selecting SoCs, MCUs, ASICs, and Power Modules.
• Conduct deep-dive technical audits of supplier methodologies, focusing on Design for Test (DFT) and fault coverage.
• Lead task forces on high-impact semiconductor failures and drive 8D problem-solving with advanced screening to eliminate latent defects.

We are looking for YOU as Semiconductor Test Strategy Expert (m/f/d) for our location in Wemding, Munich, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Creteil, Prague, Rakovnik, or Tuam.

• Strategic Leadership: Define global standards for semiconductor test coverage and quality. Lead the cross-functional integration of these standards across R&D, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
• Technical Sourcing Authority: Act as the technical support in selecting SoCs, MCUs, ASICs, and Power Modules. Challenge supplier capabilities and mitigate technical risks early in the RFQ phase.
• Supplier Governance: Conduct deep-dive technical audits of supplier methodologies, specifically focusing on Design for Test (DFT) and fault coverage.
• Failure Analysis & Improvement: Lead task forces on high-impact semiconductor failures. Drive 8D problem-solving and push for advanced screening (e.g., Outlier Detection, Part Average Testing) to eliminate latent defects.
