Job Title: Security Manager – Data Centre Projects

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading international general contractor with a turnover exceeding £1 billion, specialising in high-value, mission-critical construction projects across Europe. Due to continued growth in the data centre sector, they are seeking a Security Manager to oversee and coordinate security systems and protocols on a series of major data centre developments in Frankfurt.

Role Overview:

The Security Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of physical security on complex, large-scale data centre construction sites. You will ensure the effective implementation of security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and intrusion detection, and work closely with project stakeholders to maintain the highest security standards throughout the build phase and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of security systems including CCTV, access control, and perimeter protection.
• Work with MEP and general construction teams to integrate security systems within project timelines.
• Liaise with client security teams and ensure compliance with client and regulatory security protocols.
• Manage third-party security contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Implement and monitor site security procedures to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Develop risk assessments and method statements related to site security.
• Conduct security audits, inspections, and reports.
• Support the project delivery team during commissioning and handover.
• Maintain security documentation and ensure full compliance with relevant standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a security management role on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Direct experience with CCTV and Access Control systems – design, deployment, and management.
• Data centre project experience is essential – ideally in a live or critical environment.
• Strong understanding of construction site operations and MEP integration.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics for security systems.
• Familiarity with EU and local security regulations and standards.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Security qualifications (e.g. PSP, CPP, or similar).
• Experience with biometric systems and integration into enterprise networks.
