For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for an IT professional as:

Security Engineer (f/m/d)

As a Security Engineer (f/m/d), you will become a member of the Security Technology Section and will be responsible for managing and enhancing cutting-edge security solutions deployed across our data center. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our security infrastructure. And, you will contribute to our ongoing efforts to achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification, reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards of information security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering a wide range of security solutions and conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, focusing on the security of Hyundai & KIA and affiliate/partner companies' web properties to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Analyzing security event patterns using advanced security tools to provide insights that enhance the overall security posture.
• Monitoring and analyzing security alerts, providing detailed assessments, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Overseeing and supporting the collection and management of security logs by SOC tools, ensuring accurate and timely data.
• Investigating anomalies in security logs to identify potential threats and take corrective action.
• Continuously monitoring SOC tools to ensure optimal performance and threat detection capabilities.
• Patching, updating, and upgrading security systems within the data center to maintain their effectiveness and security.
• Handling security-related tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Conducting regular vulnerability assessments of HKMC digital properties, identifying and prioritizing risks.
• Preparing detailed reports on vulnerability assessments in English, clearly communicating findings to IT and Project Managers.
• Collaborating with relevant teams to support the mitigation of identified vulnerabilities, ensuring secure and resilient systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer or other related fields
• 1 - 3 years of professional experience as a security engineer, pentester or an application security engineer
• Security Mindset: Ability to think like an attacker and a defender, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating threats.
• GDPR Knowledge: Understanding of GDPR regulations and their implications for security and data protection.
• Advanced analysis and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and precision.
• Strong team player with excellent social skills, capable of working effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
