Optimus Search is seeking a Scrum Master for the Karlsruhe area to lead two cross-functional, globally distributed teams delivering software that aligns with the product vision.

The role requires 3+ years as a Scrum Master on large-scale projects, prior software development experience, and proficiency in SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum. German and English fluency are mandatory for effective collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive agile transformation initiatives as part of the Agile Master community, contributing to organizational growth and fostering a mindset of continuous improvement
• Share responsibility for people management alongside the Product Owner, including disciplinary leadership and team development
• Anticipate and resolve impediments and conflicts, ensuring a balanced, transparent, and productive team environment
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, workshops, and team interactions, taking accountability for effective outcomes and alignment
• Strengthen collaboration across teams by promoting clear communication and coordinated ways of working
• Act as a champion of agile principles, coaching teams to apply them in practice while encouraging ownership, autonomy, and accountability
• Lead and support two cross-functional, globally distributed agile teams in delivering high-quality software products aligned with the product vision

Requirements

• Completed a degree in Computer Science, or similar
• Obtained 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master for large-scale SW Projects
• Previous experience operating as a Software Developer
• Experience in multiple agile methodologies, such as SAFe, Kanban, and Scrum
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory
