Semiconductor Laboratory (HLL) of the Max Planck Society in Garching near Munich seeks a Scientist – Quantum Sensors & Qubit Technology (m/f/d) to advance quantum sensing and qubit technologies. The role is full-time (39 hours/week) and offers an internationally oriented research environment.
You will develop and optimize quantum sensor concepts, run advanced simulations, collaborate with technology development, engineering and experimental teams, and contribute to publications and technical
TheSemiconductor Laboratory (HLL) of the Max Planck Society, located on the research campus in Garching near Munich, is a leading facility for the development of highly precise radiation sensors and detector systems. On approximately1,400 m² of cleanroom space, HLL develops, fabricates and tests advanced semiconductor detectors for applications inX-ray astronomy, particle physics and materials research. With around50 employees from different nationalities, HLL provides a highly international and interdisciplinary environment in which scientists, engineers and technology specialists work closely together across the entire development chain — from fundamental research and simulation to device design, fabrication and experimental characterization.
To strengthen our activities inquantum sensing and advanced quantum-device technologies, and to provide scientific and technological support to our research, engineering and service teams, we are looking for aScientist – Quantum Sensors & Qubit Technology (m/f/d) to join our team at the earliest possible date on a full-time basis (39 hours/week).
Advantageous experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly valuable:
The Max Planck Society strives for gender equality and diversity.
