The Max Planck Society's Semiconductor Laboratory in Garching near Munich invites applications for a Scientist (m/f/d) – Quantum Sensors & Qubit Technology. You will develop and optimize quantum sensor concepts based on qubit systems and perform advanced simulations.
You will collaborate with technology development, engineering and experimental teams, analyze data, publish results and contribute to IP. Fluency in English is required; German is an advantage.
TheSemiconductor Laboratory (HLL) of the Max Planck Society, located on the research campus in Garching near Munich, is a leading facility for the development of highly precise radiation sensors and detector systems. On approximately1,400 m² of cleanroom space, HLL develops, fabricates and tests advanced semiconductor detectors for applications inX-ray astronomy, particle physics and materials research. With around50 employees from different nationalities, HLL provides a highly international and interdisciplinary environment in which scientists, engineers and technology specialists work closely together across the entire development chain — from fundamental research and simulation to device design, fabrication and experimental characterization.
To strengthen our activities inquantum sensing and advanced quantum-device technologies, and to provide scientific and technological support to our research, engineering and service teams, we are looking for aScientist (m/f/d) – Quantum Sensors & Qubit Technologyto join our team at the earliest possible date on a full-time basis (39 hours/week).
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly valuable:
The Max Planck Society strives for gender equality and diversity. The Max Planck Society is committed to increasing the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals. Furthermore, the Max Planck Society seeks to increase the number of women in those areas where they are underrepresented and therefore explicitly encourages women to apply.
