Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Scanning Manager to lead the Document Management Services team in Berlin. The role entails strategic direction of the Berlin production and internal service teams, with full personnel management responsibilities and collaboration across Sales Field Service, other sites, and corporate departments.

The candidate will drive quality, compliance, and global standards, tailoring them to local conditions while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

• Completed university or technical college degree (Hochschul- or Fachhochschulstudium) or a Masters certification (Meisterausbildung) with several years of professional experience in production or document management environments.
• Strong technical affinity with practical experience in internal sales service (Vertriebsinnendienst).
• Proven leadership, coaching, and ability to develop and execute strategic business processes.
• Advanced proficiency in English and German, initiative, assertiveness, cost awareness, and strong communication, presentation, and moderation skills.

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Scanning Manager to join our Document Management Services (DMS) team in Berlin.

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the process group to fulfill business objectives, build and manage a dedicated operational team, and ensure long-term business continuity at our Berlin location.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Strategic Leadership & Team Management: Provide strategic direction and lead the production and internal service teams at the Berlin location, taking direct and indirect personnel management responsibility.
• Internal & External Collaboration & Escalations: Act as a key operational interface to Sales Field Service, other locations, the Works Council ( Betriebsrat ), and corporate departments (IT, HR, Finance, Customer Service, PM, Sales), while serving as the primary lead for internal and external escalations.
• Quality, Compliance & Global Standards: Ensure high customer satisfaction while analyzing, adapting, and implementing global operational standards tailored to local conditions.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

• Experience & Education: A completed university or technical college degree ( Hochschul- or Fachhochschulstudium ) or a Master's certification ( Meisterausbildung ) paired with several years of professional experience in production or document management environments.
• Domain & Technical Expertise: Strong technical affinity combined with practical experience in internal sales service ( Vertriebsinnendienst ).
• Leadership & Strategic Capability: Proven expertise in personnel leadership, coaching, and developing and executing strategic business processes.
• Key Soft Skills & Languages: Advanced proficiency in both English and German, demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, high cost awareness, and strong communication, presentation, and moderation skills.
