Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their SAP SD Lead Consultant role on a permanent basis in Bonn, Germany (Hybrid).

Job Summary: The SAP SD Consultant with German Localization will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions tailored to German market requirements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the "Order-to-Cash" (OTC) process and a strong understanding of Germany's specific legal, tax, and reporting compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in the full project lifecycle of SAP SD implementation and rollout projects, with a specific focus on German business processes and compliance.
• Analyze German business requirements related to the Order-to-Cash process and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
• Design and configure core SAP SD functionalities, including sales order management, pricing, shipping, billing, and credit management, in accordance with German legal and tax laws.
• Implement country‑specific legal and tax requirements within the SAP system, including electronic invoicing (e‑invoicing) and statutory reporting using tools like SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Finance, Materials Management, and Logistics) to ensure seamless integration and consistent business processes across all modules.
• Create detailed functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFWs), enhancements, and interfaces specific to German business practices.
• Perform comprehensive system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, for all SAP SD solutions.
• Provide ongoing third‑level support and troubleshooting for SAP SD‑related issues, addressing incidents and problems from German‑speaking end‑users.
• Conduct training sessions and prepare user documentation for German key users to ensure effective knowledge transfer and system adoption.
• Stay up to date on changes to German regulations and standard SAP best practices to continuously improve and optimize existing processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• • Mandatory skills: SAP SD on SAP ECC platform, SAP SD integration with other SAP modules like SAP FICO, SAP MM etc.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SAP SD/OTC configuration in SAP ECC and customization.
• Relevant experience of 8-10 years.
• Expertise in German‑specific SAP localization, including legal and tax reporting requirements.
• Experience with S/4HANA implementation and functionalities is highly desirable.
• Experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP integration points with other modules such as FI/CO and MM.
