Job summary

RNB Consulting GmbH is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to support master data governance implementations across industries. You will configure MDG, design governance workflows, and collaborate with SAP Data Migration teams.

The role requires hands-on MDG experience, proficiency in German (B2/C1) for client communication, and strong English working skills. Engage in workshops, testing, and post-go-live support while documenting processes.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG.
• Experience with MDG in at least one core data object (material, customer, vendor or finance).
• German language proficiency at B2/C1 for direct client communication.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Configure and implement SAP MDG for relevant data domains.
• Design and set up governance workflows, data models, validation rules and derivation logic.
• Define data quality rules and duplicate check configurations to ensure consistent, governed master data.
• Work across integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules and connected downstream systems.
• Run requirements workshops with client stakeholders and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and configuration guides.
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, troubleshooting governance and data quality issues as they arise.
• Report project status, risks, and blockers to project leads and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with SAP Data Migration and Syniti ADM consultants on cross-project data dependencies where relevant.

• Configure and implement SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) for relevant data domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, finance)
• Design and set up governance workflows, data models, validation rules, and derivation logic

• Work across integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO) as well as connected downstream systems
• Run requirement workshops with client stakeholders and translate business needs into functional specifications

• Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and configuration guides
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, troubleshooting governance and data quality issues as they arise

Requirements

• Experience integrating SAP MDG with other SAP modules
• German language proficiency at B2/C1 (required for direct client communication)
• Professional working proficiency in English

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA specifically
• Exposure to Fiori-based MDG
• Background in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Financial Services industries
• SAP certification in MDG or a related data management module
• Familiarity with data migration or Syniti ADM tools and how they interface with MDG-governed data
