Job summary

Pertemps ERP is seeking an experienced SAP Inhouse Consultant CO to drive development and optimisation of the SAP Controlling environment. You will collaborate with international business units and cross‑functional teams to transform processes and implement CO solutions.

The role combines deep SAP CO knowledge with hands-on project management, enabling you to lead global SAP CO projects and coordinate testing, customising and rollout activities across modules such as CO-PC, CO-PA and EC-PCA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of SAP CO experience, including project or sub-project management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP CO modules and functionalities (CO-PC, CO-PA, CO-OM, CO-PC-ACT, EC-PCA).
• Fluent German and English with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support international business units and Global Business Services in optimising SAP Controlling landscape.
• Lead or co-lead national and international SAP CO projects, including rollout activities.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the SAP CO module and drive development with business requirements.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, standardisation and efficiency gains.
• Develop technical solution concepts and implement them through SAP Customizing.

About the Role

Our client, a leading international company, is looking for an experienced SAP Inhouse Consultant CO (m/f/d) to join its team and drive the continuous development and optimisation of its SAP Controlling environment. This role is ideal for an SAP CO professional with strong process knowledge, a hands‑on mindset and experience in project or sub‑project management. You will work closely with international business units, key users and cross‑functional teams to optimise business processes and support the transformation of the company's SAP landscape. Candidates with 2–3 years of SAP FI/CO consulting experience are also encouraged to apply, provided they have a clear interest in specialising in SAP CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and support international business units and Global Business Services in optimising, standardising and transforming the SAP landscape, with a particular focus on Controlling.
• Lead or co‑lead national and international SAP CO projects, including implementation and rollout activities.
• Take end‑to‑end responsibility for the SAP CO module and drive its continuous development in line with business requirements.
• Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and efficiency gains.
• Develop technical solution concepts and independently implement them through SAP Customizing.
• Plan, coordinate and manage SAP testing activities.
• Act as the central point of contact between key users, business departments and related SAP modules, including SAP MM, SD, PS, PP and CS.
• Provide third‑level support, resolve complex issues and coordinate with external service providers.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of SAP CO functionalities and processes.

Your Profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in SAP CO, ideally with at least 2–3 years of project or sub‑project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of relevant SAP CO modules and functionalities, particularly:
  • Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC)
  • Actual Costing and Material Ledger (CO-PC-ACT)
  • Overhead Cost Controlling (CO-OM)
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
  • Profit Center Accounting (EC-PCA)
• Experience in designing, implementing and managing SAP projects.
• Ideally, initial experience with SAP S/4HANA and basic knowledge of related modules such as SAP PP, MM or SD.
• Business‑fluent German and English skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with a solid understanding of business processes.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach, strong communication skills and the ability to drive topics forward.
• A collaborative mindset and the confidence to take ownership and lead initiatives.

Important: We are particularly interested in candidates who combine technical SAP knowledge with strong business process expertise and leadership potential. This is not a pure development role.
