Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Senior Industry Principal to own the end-to-end data agenda for an S/4HANA greenfield program in Germany. You will define data strategy, govern data quality and ensure migration, cutover and MDG coordination succeed on day one.

You will lead data migration activities, align with business owners and process teams, and drive governance forums to secure trusted master data across multiple entities and regions.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise data management, including at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA (or ECC) implementations, ideally greenfield, in a data lead or manager capacity.
• Proven hands-on leadership of data migration through multiple mock cycles to cutover in a large, multi-entity or multi-country environment.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP data structures and master data domains across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Strong grasp of data governance concepts: data ownership, stewardship, lineage, cataloging, and DQ metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills at both executive and working level.
• Strategic and structured thinking with strong attention to detail
• Ownership and accountability under tight cutover timelines
• Ability to influence without direct authority
• Problem solving and root-cause analysis
• Change leadership and business engagement

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end data agenda of the S/4HANA greenfield program, including strategy, quality and governance of data from legacy sources through cleansing, transformation, migration and cutover.
• Serve as single point of accountability connecting business data owners, process teams, migration teams, and system integrator partners.
• Ensure data requirements are embedded in process design, testing, training and hyper care.
• Coordinate with integration and interface teams to keep master data consistent across systems.
• Run governance forums such as the Data Council, data owner meetings and design authority reviews.
• Define and own the data management strategy, roadmap, and approach for the S/4HANA program.
• Align data scope with business process scope and deployment waves.
• Interface with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, and other teams as data steward.
• Report status to Steering Committee and manage risks and issues.

Job Description

The Data Manager owns the end-to-end data agenda of the S/4HANA greenfield program. This covers the strategy, quality and governance of data from legacy source systems through cleansing, transformation, migration and cutover, and into sustainable master data governance after go-live. The role is the single point of accountability that connects business data owners, functional process teams, technical migration teams, and system integrator partners, so that the business starts operating on trusted, compliant and fit-for-purpose data on day one. Plays an integration role between the data migration, data cleansing and MDG teams and tracks these together.

Your Role

2. Stakeholder and Interface Management

• Data Strategy and Program Leadership
• Define and own the data management strategy, roadmap, and approach for the S/4HANA program, aligned with the global design and template.
• Establish the data workstream plan, milestones, RACI, and risk/issue management, and report status to the Steering Committee.
• Align data scope with the business process scope (end-to-end process owners, deployment waves, and legal entities).
• Act as the primary interface among business data owners, process owners, functional consultants (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, etc.), technical teams, testing, change management, and cutover.
• Ensure data requirements are embedded in process design, testing (SIT/UAT), training, and hyper care.
• Coordinate with integration and interface teams so master data stays consistent across connected systems.
• Run governance forums such as the Data Council, data owner meetings, and design authority reviews.

Required

• SAP certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Data Migration, SAP MDG) and/or DAMA CDMP or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology and agile or hybrid delivery.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, or analytics platforms for data quality reporting.
• Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory requirements across regions.
• Experience in [industry: manufacturing / life sciences / consumer goods / energy / etc.].
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar for profiling and validation.
