Job summary

IgniteSAP is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer specialising in Document Reporting Compliance (DRC) to design, build and optimise ABAP components for digital tax reporting and e-invoicing. You will work across SAP DRC, S/4HANA and modern SAP development environments in a consultancy setting.

The role offers flexible arrangements (remote + client-based) with international exposure and opportunities to expand expertise across SAP DRC, S/4HANA, BTP and related technologies. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on ABAP development experience.
• Strong with S/4HANA, CDS Views and ABAP Objects.
• Experience configuring AIF for e-invoicing or DRC scenarios.
• Solid understanding of SOAP, REST, IDocs, BAPIs and RFCs.
• Experience with BAdIs, User Exits and XML/JSON mappings.
• Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills.
• Experience in SAP DRC or statutory reporting is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of SAP BTP, CPI or PI/PO.
• Strong analytical skills; able to translate complex needs.
• Fluent English and teamwork with functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop ABAP components for SAP DRC.
• Build CDS Views and ABAP Objects for S/4HANA reporting.

As an SAP ABAP Developer specialising in SAP Document Reporting Compliance (DRC), you will design, build and optimise technical components that enable digital tax reporting, e-invoicing and statutory compliance. You Will Take Ownership Of

• Developing and enhancing ABAP components for SAP Document Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Building CDS Views and ABAP Objects for S/4HANA-based reporting and integration.
• Configuring and supporting AIF frameworks for e-invoicing and digital reporting scenarios.
• Designing and maintaining interfaces using SOAP, REST, IDocs, BAPIs and RFCs.
• Developing BAdIs, User Exits and custom XML/JSON mappings for statutory reporting.
• Debugging, analysing and optimising performance across integrations and DRC processes.
• Collaborating with functional DRC consultants to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Supporting testing, documentation, deployment and post-go-live activities.
• Ensuring clean-core development principles and alignment with SAP best practices.
• Working with SAP BTP, CPI or PI/PO where required for integrations and troubleshooting.
• Contributing to the automation and digitalisation of indirect tax processes and reporting.

Your Profile
