Amazon is seeking a Sales Operations and Strategy Analyst in Berlin (FTC 12 months) to partner with the DACH sales teams to define, land and execute against strategic priorities. The role will work with the EMEA central operations team on planning, rhythm of business, and territory planning.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional data teams to implement reporting solutions, support Monthly Business Reviews, Pipeline Reviews, and quota/commission planning.

Description

We're looking for a detailed, motivated, and structured Sales Operations and Strategy Analyst to partner with the DACH sales teams to define, land and execute against our strategic priorities for the business. This role will partner with the EMEA central operations team in the strategic planning process, the annual and monthly rhythm of business and the annual Territory Planning process.

The successful candidate (m/f) will need to collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional data teams to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high standards.

This position will be responsible for supporting the rhythm of the business activities such as Monthly Business Reviews, Pipeline Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics. The position will assist Sales Managers in evaluating and forecasting attainment against quotas, utilizing various CRM tools to derive well-vetted analysis, and other ad-hoc requests and analysis as needed. This individual will support the day-to-day execution of the business including commission and quota plans, managing the territory definitions and account movements, and providing reporting and insights to sales leaders.

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves and dive deep into unclearly defined spaces and instill proper levels of structure and control. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across other geographies.

This role is a Fix Term Contract (FTC) for 12 months and the preferred location for this position is Berlin, the alternative can be Munich.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Develop key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives

  • Analyze data and trends and make informed recommendations to the sales teams and managers

  • Manage continuously-evolving forecast models and methodologies, owning the quantitative analysis of the performance of our sales team

  • Develop relationships and work with sales, partner, sales operations, and other stakeholders to create and refine the tools and processes needed to drive productivity increases.

  • Assist Sales Managers in all aspects of evaluating their teams’ performance

  • Ensure accurate and timely sales commission calculations

  • Identify reporting issues, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution

  • Prepare ad hoc analysis & participate on projects as needed

Key job responsibilities

Revenue Forecasting & Planning – Support the ISV EMEA revenue forecasting process by analysing trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring forecast accuracy. Partner with ISV sales managers to validate inputs and drive accountability in the forecasting cadence.

Territory & Coverage Optimisation – Assist in the design and analysis of territory plans, account assignments, and coverage models across EMEA ISV segments, ensuring equitable distribution of opportunity and alignment with strategic priorities.

Operational Process Improvement – Identify and implement process improvements that increase ISV sales team productivity and operational efficiency. Streamline reporting workflows, automate recurring analyses, and champion best practices across the ISV EMEA sales organisation.

Strategic Project Support – Contribute to cross-functional strategic projects that drive business growth across ISV EMEA, including supporting go-to-market plans for new ISV segments or verticals, providing analytical input during account planning cycles to identify whitespace opportunities, building business cases for strategic partnerships, analysing the effectiveness of sales incentive programmes, and supporting organisational design initiatives such as the integration of new geographies or ISV segments into existing structures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
