An IT/Telecom/Engineering company is currently recruiting a Sales Account Manager to work in their office in Cologne, Germany.

In this role, you will focus on maintaining and acquiring business relationships with their international Tier 2, 1, and OEM customers by implementing customized solutions to create win-win outcomes for both customers and the company.

Type: Permanent, full-time

Working hours: 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday

Salary: €50,000 – €60,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus and company car

Start: ASAP

Location: Cologne, Germany – travel across Germany and Europe is necessary; attendance at the office is occasional

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and improve relationships with German, European, and worldwide key accounts
  2. Develop and present effective sales strategies to management
  3. Meet and exceed sales targets; report results
  4. Perform customer visits within Germany and other European countries, traveling approximately 50% of the time
  5. Identify and create new opportunities, mainly in the automotive market
  6. Discuss mutual benefits with customers and extend their role as distributor by offering value-added services
  7. Advise management on business opportunities and supply chain improvements
  8. Support the quotation process managed by inside sales
  9. Identify key selling points to increase win-rate
  10. Support sales opportunities from Netherlands and Germany, acting as liaison between customers, suppliers, and service providers
  11. Troubleshoot and develop solutions for changing customer needs
  12. Research and promote new products for the company's portfolio
  13. Provide excellent customer service to ensure recurring and growing sales
Ideal Candidate:
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with ERP systems is advantageous
  • Experience in distribution or logistics is preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive supply chain processes
  • Business-level proficiency in German and English
