Job summary

Omnisent GmbH in Munich is seeking an RF/Communications Engineer to strengthen the wireless backbone of our sensor network, focusing on LPWAN and sub-GHz protocols to resist jamming and spoofing.

You will work closely with the hardware team to design, optimize, and harden networking architecture and routing, and ensure secure, reliable IoT communications across our distributed system.

Qualifications

• Strong background in RF engineering and LPWAN/sub-GHz communication.
• Experience with routing table design and networking fundamentals.
• Understanding of jamming and spoofing threats and countermeasures.
• Comfortable working within a distributed IoT sensor network architecture.
• EU work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize LPWAN communication for the IoT sensor network.
• Work with sub-GHz protocols across the distributed sensor mesh.
• Develop and harden systems against jamming and spoofing threats.
• Design and optimize networking architecture and routing tables for the sensor mesh.
• Collaborate closely with the hardware team and the existing RF/communications engineer.

Founded in 2025, Omnisent is a Munich-based defense technology company developing fully autonomous, Counter-UAS system. We are a small, high-output team from Cambridge, Imperial College, MIT, and BCG united by a mission to redefine modern airspace security.

Aufgaben

We are looking for an RF/Communications Engineer to work alongside our current RF/communications engineer, strengthening the wireless communication backbone of our sensor network against jamming and spoofing.

• Design and optimize low-power wide area network (LPWAN) communication for our IoT sensor network
• Work with sub-GHz communication protocols across our distributed sensor mesh
• Develop and harden systems against jamming and spoofing threats
• Design and optimize networking architecture and routing tables for the sensor mesh
• Collaborate closely with our current RF/communications engineer and hardware team

Qualifikation

• Strong background in RF engineering, with experience in LPWAN and sub-GHz communication
• Experience with networking fundamentals, including routing table design
• Understanding of jamming/spoofing threats and countermeasures
• Comfortable working within a distributed IoT sensor network architecture
• EU work authorization

Bonus:
