We pursue research on process intensification by developing innovative model-based design and optimization approaches and integration with experimental research. The interdisciplinary research activities are oftentimes conducted in collaboration with academic and industrial partners, focusing on innovative process concepts for energy-efficient, (bio-)reactive and hybrid processes. Our research activities pursue the goal to develop resource-, energy- and cost efficient processes for a sustainable production in the chemical and biochemical industry. The project aims to identify enzyme kinetic models from limited experimental data by adapting and extending parameter-estimation methods from adsorption modelling. The resulting approach will be systematically validated for complex reaction models with multiple parameters, with particular emphasis on competing substrates.
At the heart of TU Hamburg’s research, teaching and transfer of technology is the guiding principle of developing technology for people.
