Zusammenfassung

Universitätsklinikum Ulm sucht eine qualifizierte Fachkraft zur Mitarbeit im Ethik-Subprojekt. Sie unterstützen die Forschungsarbeit, koordinieren Aktivitäten mit Partnern und arbeiten an der Darstellung und Veröffentlichung der Ergebnisse.

Gewünscht wird ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in Medizin oder Geistes-/Sozialwissenschaften; idealerweise mit Promotion. Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse runden das Profil ab.

Qualifikationen

• Erfahrung in angewandter Ethik und empirischer Sozialforschung.
• Teamfähigkeit und interdisziplinäre Arbeitsweise.
• Koordination von Forschungsprojekten.

Aufgaben

• Wissenschaftliche Unterstützung bei der Organisation und Durchführung des extern geförderten Projekts.
• Koordination der Forschungsaktivitäten mit Projektpartnern.
• Unterstützung bei Präsentationen und Publikationen von Forschungsergebnissen.

The University Hospital Ulm with its employees (f/m/d) stands for a modern patient care with high quality, top research and medical teaching oriented towards the future as well as training in attractive professional fields.The prerequisites for this are qualified and committed employee.

Reproductive health is of great importance to every individual, to society and to the health of future generations. This encompasses physical and medical dimensions as well as psychosocial and medical-ethical dimensions. A central aspect of reproductive health is the protection of fertility. The aim of the ethics sub-project is to conduct accompanying research into the ethical, legal, social and cultural challenges associated with improving existing methods and developing new methods of fertility protection for different social groups. The project will address several aspects:

• a) technology assessment in relation to benefits and risks for users,
• b) issues relating to informed consent,
• c) the responsible handling of personal data,
• d) issues relating to social and family pressures on individual decision-making,
• e) challenges arising from differing regulatory frameworks at international and national levels,
• f) issues relating to discrimination against minority groups in access to fertility preservation.

Job responsibilities:

• Academic support in the organisation and implementation of research work within the framework of the externally funded project
• Coordination of research activities with project partners
• Academic support in the presentation and publication of research findings

Your profile:

• A completed university degree in medicine or a subject in the humanities or social sciences; a PhD would be an advantage
• Proven expertise in applied ethics and empirical social research
• Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment and as part of a team
• Proven experience in coordinating scientific research projects
• Very good command of written and spoken English
