Zusammenfassung

Universität Rostock sucht eine/n Research Assistant (m/w/d) – Quantum Science, um eigenständig theoretische Arbeiten zu Waveguide-Polaritons in hybriden Photonikstrukturen durchzuführen. Die Stelle ist auf Teilzeitbasis (30 Std./Woche) befristet bis 31.12.2029 innerhalb des SFB 1477 LiMaTi.

Voraussetzung ist ein abgeschlossenes Universitätsstudium in Theoretischer Physik mit sehr guten Ergebnissen, fundierte Kenntnis in theoretischer Quantenoptik und Festkörpertheorie sowie gute

Qualifikationen

• Completed university degree (state exam, diploma, master's degree or comparable) in Theoretical Physics with very good results.
• Very good knowledge of theoretical quantum optics and condensed-matter theory.
• Experience with statistical inference methods is welcome.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
• Very good English language skills.

Aufgaben

• Independent research on the theoretical description of waveguide polaritons in hybrid integrated photonics waveguide/TMDC structures as part of subproject W02.
• Integrating 2D crystals and waveguide circuits: Active components and versatile exciton spectroscopy with CRC 1477 LiMaTi.
• Theory development of nonlinear polariton interactions.
• Numerical evaluation of mode structures in laser-written photonic surface waveguides.
• Development of detection protocols for nonlinear phase shifts.
• Optimisation of waveguide polariton interaction through statistical inference.
• Support of data analysis from experiments performed within the CRC subproject W02.
