Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Stade seeks a Research and Technology Composite Engineer to advance CFRP technologies within the Composite Technology team of Central Manufacturing Engineering. The role focuses on maturing new materials and processes for current and future aircraft programs in a transnational setup.

Ideal candidates have a materials/manufacturing background, hands-on experience with trials in shopfloor environments, and strong English and German communication.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree for materials, manufacturing systems or similar.
• First experience in managing trials in shopfloor environment, composite manufacturing process and project management.
• Fluent English and German skills.
• Highly motivated and engaged, very high attitude for working independently and open minded for new developments.
• Being creative and passion for working in a transnational technical environment.

Aufgaben

• Identify customer needs (plants, new programs) and deliver solutions through R&T project setups in a transnational context.
• Support and validate developments with Experts, Industrial and Digital Architects.
• Develop and implement improvements to Composite processes and Technologies.
• Plan and perform physical trials and developments to enable maturation and validation of processes, materials and technologies, including robust data capture and analysis.
• Collaborate with (and manage) partners such as Technological centres or suppliers for new developments.

Research and Technology Composite Engineer (d/f/m)

An open position for a Composite Engineer has arisen within the Composite Technology team for Central Manufacturing Engineering inside Airbus Aerostructures in Stade. This transnational team is maturing new technologies in R&T in order to secure, improve, and ramp up both legacy and future aircraft programs.

All vertical stabilizers for Airbus commercial aircraft, the A400M and various individual parts from the Airbus programs come from Stade.
