Axios is hiring a reporter to be our subject matter expert on the future of transportation and mobility. You’ll explain the biggest forces driving change, from AI and electrification to geopolitics, and break news with distinctive analysis.
In this role you’ll anchor the weekly Future of Mobility newsletter, break news on executives, policymakers and companies across the mobility ecosystem, and become our public authority to illuminate these issues.

Transportation is undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation. The convergence of AI, electrification, autonomous driving and geopolitics are reshaping the industry — redefining how we move, where companies invest, and which countries will dominate the next era of manufacturing and technology.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $130,000 - $180,000and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios\' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
