Overview

We are currently looking for a skilled and customer-focused Remote Service Engineer based in Dusseldorf, Germany. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for technology, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional 1st-level technical support to customers experiencing issues related to their Kornit Digital printers and application software via phone, using remote tools, e.g. remote controlling Kornit Digital systems, retrieving log files and setting information, correcting and adjusting settings.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to Kornit Digital printing systems and application software.
  • Accurate reporting of incoming cases.
  • Ensure continuous and professional communication within the team and with teams and colleagues from other departments / areas of the business.
  • Active use and constant optimisation of all processes and documentation in your area of responsibility.
  • Prepare and share documentation based on solutions reached for inclusion in the known error database
  • Reporting and creating technical documentation and statistics.
  • Apply upgrades and product modifications as implemented by the product line.
  • Participate in support hotline coverage, including support during extended service hours according to a defined schedule.
  • Document all activities described here using the systems and tools provided by Kornit for this purpose, currently salesforce.com service modules.
  • Escalate cases appropriately and ensure consistent follow-up and resolution.
  • Promote Kornits service offerings such as service contracts, training, and maintenance programs among our customers.
  • Perform other tasks such as servicing etc. related to our showroom systems as required.
Qualifications
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
  • 3 years experience in a technical position servicing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Flexibility to travel for on-site service visits when required (up to 20%).
  • Familiarity with digital printing technologies such as industrial inkjet, RIP / colour management, textile printing is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivating personality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Required language skills: fluent in English and additional languages (Italian, Polish or French).
