Job summary

Arnot Health seeks a Registered Nurse for outpatient gastroenterology to provide direct patient care, triage, and coordination within a physician office setting. You will support screening initiatives, education, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout treatment journeys.

The role requires NY state RN licensure and BLS within 90 days. Prior gastroenterology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program with current New York State licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing clinical care in an outpatient physician office setting.
• Collaborate with providers, care coordinators, and multidisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, preventive care, and disease management programs to support improved health outcomes.
• Perform clinical duties including medication administration, immunizations, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and assistance with diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR, including patient interactions, assessments, orders, and care coordination activities.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, surgeries, and prior authorizations to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and provide guidance to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants while supporting efficient office operations and quality patient care.
• Promote patient safety and regulatory compliance by adhering to infection control standards, medication administration policies, and organizational procedures.

Registered Nurse Outpatient Gastroenterology

The Pulmonary Registered Nurse provides direct patient care and care coordination for individuals with acute and chronic respiratory conditions in an outpatient setting. This role supports lung cancer screening initiatives, coordinates advanced pulmonary procedures, delivers patient education, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the treatment journey.

_ Roles and Responsibilities:_

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing clinical care in a physician office setting, addressing physical, behavioral, and cognitive health needs.
• Collaborate closely with providers, care coordinators, and multidisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, preventive care, and disease management programs to support improved health outcomes.
• Perform clinical duties including medication administration, immunizations, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and assistance with diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR), including patient interactions, assessments, orders, and care coordination activities.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, specialist referrals, diagnostic testing, surgeries, and prior authorizations to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and provide guidance to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants while supporting efficient office operations and quality patient care.
• Promote patient safety and regulatory compliance by adhering to infection control standards, medication administration policies, and organizational procedures.

_ Physical Requirements:_

• Employee required to be on his/her feet much of the time, some lifting, reaching and stooping involved.

_ Pay Range Disclosure:_

• Standard Rate of $37.05-$44.65 per hour plus benefits
