Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Regional Health & Safety Manager to lead Health & Safety initiatives across Europe. You will guard policy implementation, develop risk maps, and drive regulatory compliance across sites and countries.

The role involves coordinating risk prevention, promoting safety culture, and reporting to the Regional Board. You will mentor leaders and staff on H&S matters, contribute to continuous improvement, and support certification policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field; engineering background is a plus.
• At least 5 years of professional experience across several sites/countries.
• Experience with change management in Health & Safety context; ability to challenge and convince stakeholders.
• Experience in warehouse, production, or logistics industry would be beneficial.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate with all levels (from shop floor to Top Management).
• Fluent in English; good level of German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guarding the Group's Health and Safety Policy in the Region.
• Implementing and maintaining occupational health and safety risk maps in coordination with country H&S responsibles.
• Helping GEODIS Europe in setting up monitoring and regulatory compliance systems.
• Coordinating and ensuring effective implementation of risk prevention and management policies.
• Promoting safety culture with H&S Managers and regional departments.
• Consolidating Regional H&S reporting data and communicating performance to Regional Board and the Group.
• Defining concrete action plans for continuous improvement (organization, technical solutions, tools).
• Coordinating H&S certification policies at Group & Regional level.
• Developing and coaching leaders and employees on H&S matters.
• Collecting good practices and managing the H&S Network.

A variety of tasks are waiting for you, amongst others:

• Being the guardian of the Group's Health and Safety Policy in the Region,
• Implementing and maintaining occupational health and safety risk maps in close coordination with the country H&S responsibles,
• Supporting the countries and sites of GEODIS Europe in setting up monitoring and regulatory compliance systems,
• Coordinating and ensuring the effective implementation of risk prevention and management policies, as well as accident and crisis management processes,
• Promoting the Group's safety culture with the H&S Managers of the country sites and with the Regional functional departments who are involved in safety,
• Consolidating Regional H&S reporting data and communicating performance to the Regional Board members and to the Group,
• Defining and following concrete action plans in a spirit of continuous improvement (organization, technical solutions, tools),
• Coordinating H&S certification policies decided at Group & Regional level,
• Developing and coach all leaders/employees regarding H&S matters,
• Collecting all good practices in place and managing the H&S Network.

Applicant's profile

You bring along:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field, an engineering background is a plus,
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the above-described tasks, that covers several sites/countries,
• Experience with change management within Health & Safety context, having the capacity to challenge and convince different level of stakeholders,
• Experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics industry would be a plus,
• Excellent analytical skills, as well as being an expert of communication with all levels (from field to Top Management),
• Passion for health and safety, any standard like ISO 45001 is considered as a plus,
• Fluent in English and good level of German would be a plus,
• Good command of the MS Office applications,
• Willing to travel 50%.
